Martin is one of Denmark’s leading IT lawyers with almost 20 years’ experience of advising Danish and international organizations, including large blue chip companies, on legal and commercial matters in connection with IT in a wide sense. He is considered a pioneer with respect to the legal aspects of Online Technology Solutions (Ecommerce, internet and web services), Cyber and IT security, open source and open data and the use of other open license forms such as Creative Commons.
Martin works with clients on the legal aspects related to emergent areas and industries such as 3D Printing, Robotics, Smart networks and smart cities, wearable tech, IoT, FinTech, Bitcoin and blockchain technologies.
He advises technology start-ups and SMEs within the IT and media sectors on fundraising, M&A and transactions, corporate matters and more general commercial contracts.
Martin is a co-founder of the Danish E-commerce Association (FDIH), Internet Society DK, Creative Commons DK, Danish Open Source Vendors Association, Danish Entrepreneurs Association, Quantified Self DK and the tech start-up community CPHFTW.
By virtue of his extensive and broad experience serving IT companies, Martin is also able to give integrated advice which combines commercial understanding, technological insight and legal expertise.
He is a certified IT attorney (certified by the Association of Danish IT Attorneys), and has been admitted to the Danish High Court.
Martin is the co-author on the first thesis on Danish Internet Law and a frequent speaker at conferences on IT law, ecommerce and open source and Creative Commons.
