Philip Kempermann is a partner at HEUKING KÜHN LÜER WOJTEK, a major German independent law firm with about 350 lawyers.

Philip Kempermann was admitted to the Bar in 2006 and focuses on IT, data protection and media law. He is a member of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s IP, Media and Technology and Antitrust practice groups. Philip Kempermann advises and represents several large national and international corporations with their IT operations and data protection matters. Additionally, Philip Kempermann assists start-ups with setting up their operations and refining their business models. Philip Kempermann has extensive experience with complex international IT and data protection projects assisting various companies with bringing such negotiations to a successful ending and supported his clients during ongoing project operations. Additionally, he regularly advises on software licensing, GDPR compliance, data protection questions concerning IT operations but also cross-border data transfers and licensing of content for digital distribution.

Recently, Philip Kempermann assisted Finnair with procuring a new cargo management system; tesa concerning a large international multivendor project for product validation systems, the start-up eXaring with setting up the new TV distribution service waipu.tv and the tolino cooperation, namely Thalia, Hugendubel and Weltbild on reorganising the tolino alliance including the negotiation of a new service agreement with Rakuten Kobo. Philip Kempermann also assists several banks and other corporations on GDPR compliance.
